Workshops & Speaking Engagements

Below are a few topics popular with corporate audiences ~

  • Power of Energy: Unlock your Potential

Energy shapes how we think, feel, and act. By understanding our unique energetic makeup, we have the power to shift our energy to become more engaged, effective, and fulfilled. In this workshop, we’ll explore the 7 Levels of Energy, a powerful framework that reveals how our beliefs and emotional responses influence our personal and professional life. Based on Bruce D. Schneider’s book, Energy Leadership: The 7 Levels of Mastery in Life and Business, this workshop will offer participants the opportunity for greater self-awareness and practical tools to harness the power of their energy for greater success and satisfaction, both in and out of the workplace. Whether you are a current leader, an aspiring leader, or looking to improve your effectiveness and fulfillment in your current role (or in life, overall), you have the opportunity to shift your energy to achieve success.

  • The Art of Executive Presence

Aspiring leaders understand the importance of developing executive presence in their pursuit of the highest levels of leadership at the vast majority of organizations - but what exactly is executive presence, and how can it be developed? In this workshop, we will explore the concept of executive presence and dive into the key traits that constitute executive presence, including six traits that are increasingly important factors, as evidenced by surveys of U.S. business executives conducted by economist and author Sylvia Ann Hewlett in 2012 and 2022. We’ll consider what aspiring leaders can do to develop their executive presence and identify immediate steps that participants in our workshop can take. After all, as author and professor Adam Grant said, “You don’t have to build confidence before taking action. You build confidence by taking action.”

  • Achieving Influence to Make an Impact

Whether we're leading teams on cross-functional projects, making the case for more resources, working with clients or prospective clients, going after a new role, or convincing those around us that we deserve a promotion, we all spend our days "selling." In this workshop, we’ll dive into an inspiring discussion about how we can effectively move others. We’ll explore insights and timeless concepts from best selling author Dan Pink, including the six successors to the elevator pitch, the three rules for understanding another’s perspective, and the five frames that can make your message clearer and more persuasive. We’ll reflect on how themes from Pink’s book show up in our lives and in our work, and how we may incorporate various strategies and tactics to change how we see the world and how we influence others.

  • Living your Values at Work

Your values are the things that you consider most important to living the life you dream of. Your values serve as your personal north star, guiding you as you determine your priorities in your life and work.  When you live and work in ways congruent with your values, you’re likely to experience a great sense of joy and fulfillment - and to thrive. Although our workplaces often have defined corporate values, the reality is that our workplaces are made up of lots of different people, who hold lots of different values - including some that may be in conflict with our own. In this workshop, we will explore our individual values, and consider how we can honor them at work. We’ll reflect on ways in which we can work to create win-win outcomes, a positive work environment, and greater joy and success for ourselves and for those around us.

  • Cultivating Confidence

In our personal or professional lives, we're all, arguably, striving to access our personal power, to feel grounded and authentic, and to navigate uncomfortable situations with ease. In this workshop, we’ll dive into an inspiring discussion about ways in which we can access our personal power in order to achieve presence and to flourish even during the most stressful moments. We’ll explore insights from Harvard Business School professor and social psychologist Amy Cuddy’s book, Presence, and learn ways to cultivate confidence as well as to connect with and support others in doing the same.  We’ll reflect on specific strategies and tactics we can begin to incorporate both at inside and outside of the workplace to foster confidence and to empower ourselves and each other in growing personally and professionally.

  • Building Meaningful Connections

Communication is a superpower and the best communicators understand that conversations build connections. In this workshop, we’ll explore insights from Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist and author Charles Duhigg’s latest book, Supercommunicators, including understanding the three types of conversations (practical, emotional, and social), how to recognize each type, and skills for navigating each type more successfully. We’ll reflect on the complex emotions, subtle negotiations, and hidden beliefs that influence so much of what we say and how we listen. We’ll consider techniques for becoming supercommunicators and explore how we may begin to incorporate these techniques at work and in life in order to build meaningful connections with those around us.
