Our Approach to Executive Coaching
Our approach is individualized and collaborative with our client. Just as every client is unique, every client’s experience with coaching will be unique. Generally, we engage in the following types of activities during our coaching relationship:
ALIGN
Objectives
We will begin our work together by aligning on your objective - often this is whatever it is that prompted you to explore working with a coach. Each time we meet, you’ll also set a session-specific goal. Alignment is essential to ensuring we spend our time together in the way that will be most valuable to your growth.
EXPLORE
Insights + Learnings
You’ll be encouraged to uncover insights and learnings about yourself. We may explore and discuss your values, motivations, interests, and skills; your definition of success, your north star. You’ll be encouraged to imagine what’s possible and to articulate your vision. We may leverage coaching tools and/or assessments if appropriate.
PLAN
Goals + Strategies
Energized and inspired by your vision for what’s possible and insight into what success means to you, you’ll identify specific strategies and tactics to create an action plan that feels right for you, and to identify accountability systems available to you.
ACTION
Implementation
There’s no better way to build confidence than by taking action. We may discuss the actions you take (or do not take), challenges you encounter and ways to overcome them, actions to start/stop/continue, and most importantly, we’ll celebrate successes!

* The Explore-Plan-Action activities featured are illustrative, and typically done in sprints. Coaching is not a one-size-fits-all process. The client will set the priorities for our relationship and for each session, and we will use our time in the way that the client wishes to use it to help them move towards achieving their goal. Just like with any service provider, every coach is different in terms of specific offerings, areas of expertise, experience, approach, style, philosophy, personality, cost, etc. Before you commit to working with a specific coach, I strongly recommend that you meet with several and find the one that feels right for you!
